Happier future

Finding your authentic self and building a more courageous you.

When we flee our vulnerability, we lose our full capacity for feeling emotion. We cannot selectively numb our feelings. When we build a wall to keep the pain out (or in), we also keep out the joy and the peace of mind that are achievable. Because, in some cases, the wall is a necessary protection, the loss of happiness is a necessary sacrifice.

Frequently asked questions

Only you know if you are ready for counselling. But, if you’re finding it difficult to cope with everyday life, experiencing loss of motivation, anxiety, or feeling increasingly socially isolated, it may be time to reach out for support.

Physical signs could include changes in sleep or eating patterns, withdrawing from social activities or feeling a loss of interest in things you once enjoyed. If any of these resonate with you, seeking help can be an important step toward healing and regaining control.

The primary focus of the initial consultation is getting to know you and your reason for seeking therapy. Then, together, we will explore what you hope to get out of therapy and if we are the right “fit”. This session is all about creating a safe space to share insights and to understand if I can help.

No, you don’t need a referral. However, you may wish to speak with your GP to discuss your concerns and ask for recommendations.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, as the number of sessions depends on you and your unique needs. Some people may benefit from just a few sessions, while others may find long-term support more helpful. We’ll work together to determine the pace and duration of therapy that works best for you.
